NETFUSIUM COMPLETES BOUCLAIR.COM
TRANSITION TO YAHOO STORES
Montreal, February 3rd, 2002
Netfusium Studios, a leading Information services
provider, today announced the completion of BouClair.com's
eCommerce site using Yahoo Stores, in English.
BouClair.com is the Web side of BouClair Inc.,
a chain of 73 stores which caters to creative
customers, offering draperies, decorative hardware,
blinds, bed & bath as well as other home décor
items and fabrics and notions.
Before Yahoo Stores, BouClair.com
was operating under a proprietary system using
IBM's WebSphere, developed with custom programming
using an external company.
Initial costs to building its original
eCommerce site were reduced to a mere 15 percent
using Yahoo Stores and Netfusium. Maintenance
costs will be decreased by as much as 75 percent,
making the switch an obvious choice.
"The transition from their
previous eCommerce infrastructure to Yahoo Stores
will not only provide a more stable environment,
but is sure to increase BouClair.com's return
on investment as well " stated Netfusium
President and CEO Sylvain Fortin.
Netfusium used Yahoo Stores to
integrate the design and customised look and feel
BouClair.com needed, all without the usual costs
involved with writing custom applications.
According to Mr. Fortin, "The
change should have been made from the beginning.
The eCommerce site is superior, its maintenance
costs are much lower, and the site is more stable.
This solution will allow BouClair.com to become
leaders in the online arena."
